Alberta Historical Royalty Data
This royalty data for gas, conventional oil and oil sands contains a fiscal year summary of the Non-renewable resource revenue by fiscal year. The data, derived from various royalty reporting systems, are based on calendar years.
Because the data is presented is on a calendar year basis it is not directly comparable to the fiscal year data reported in the government’s and ministries financial statements. Accruals are incorporated in the financial statements, but in the calendar year data, revisions for past year filled by industry are reflected in the year they amend and are not incorporated into the current year. Also the financial statements include a number of other items such as trespass, offset and farm gas which are not part of the reporting process in the royalty systems. Since the calendar year numbers are not reported on financial statements, they are unaudited.

" (Valentine report).
