Bioenergy Grant Program Recipients

The Government of Alberta continues to strengthen the bioenergy industry by investing funds in renewable bioenergy projects. Companies successful in their application under the Biorefining Commercialization and Market Development Program and/or Bioenergy Infrastructure Development Program are included in the following table. The most recent grant recipients include companies eligible for Phase 2 funding.
Introduced in December 2008, Phase 2 provides funding above the $5 million cap in Phase 1 of the program to well-established projects that have strong financial backing and are shovel-ready.

Alberta’s energy future depends on continued development of energy resources in ways that are integrated and environmentally sound.
