Bioenergy Legislation

The following Acts and Regulations are available from the Alberta Queen's Printer website :

• Climate Change and Emissions Management Act  
• Renewable Fuels Standard (RFS) Regulation 
• Renewable Fuels Greenhouse Gas Emissions Eligibility Standard(Emissions Standard, revised March 2011 version).  The Emissions Standard provides guidance around what fuels are eligible to meet the greenhouse gas threshold requirements as stated in the regulation.  The March 2011 version supersedes and replaces the January 2010 version.
• Municipal Waste Guideline for Renewable Energy Feedstock The Municipal Waste Guideline provides guidance around what types of municipal waste constitute renewable feedstock for the purposes of the Renewable Fuels Standard regulation.
