Oil Sands Payments

The purpose of this page is to offer additional information to oil sands royalty payers who intend to use the RapidTrans Deposit Slip for their Oil Sands royalty payments. It is important to note that there are four different Oil Sands Royalty Authorities. When an Activity ID (account number) is created for oil sands royalty projects, it is based on one of those authorities. In order to allocate the correct royalty amount, it is essential that each payment identified on a RapidTrans form is on the same line as the applicable Activity ID.

Activity IDs

Activity IDs (account numbers) are created from a combination of a three digit account code along with a name or number that identifies the royalty payer's royalty account for that activity code.

Activity ID = three digit code + assigned name and/or number

eg. CSR XXX or OSR XXX or PSR XXXXX

Failure to identify the full Activity ID on your remittance could result in the royalty payment being applied to the wrong account, which could cause undue delays. Your company may then receive an invoice on which interest could be a significant factor.
