Petrinex
is a secure, centralized information network representing excellence in the exchange of petroleum-related information. It allows oil and gas facility operators in Alberta and Saskatchewan to report, manage and exchange up-to-date volumetric, royalty and commercial information with government and members of industry, accurately and efficiently.
Petrinex delivers:
- Mission critical business processes and information required for the assessment, levy, and collection of crown royalties for the provinces of Alberta and Saskatchewan.
- Essential information in support of the regulatory mandates and legislation of the provinces of Alberta and Saskatchewan.
- Key services that facilitate important Industry commercial activities, including partner to partner reporting, cheque exchange activities, financial analytics, compliance assurance and production accounting.
Petrinex, formerly the Petroleum Registry of Alberta (PRA), is a joint strategic organization represented by the Alberta Department of Energy (DOE), the Alberta Energy Resources Conservation Board (ERCB), the Saskatchewan Ministry of the Economy (ECON), and industry (represented by the Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers (CAPP) and the Explorer and Producers Association of Canada (EPAC)). It operates under the overall guidance of a unique and proven Crown-Industry governance structure.
