Petrinex is a secure, centralized information network representing excellence in the exchange of petroleum-related information. It allows oil and gas facility operators in Alberta and Saskatchewan to report, manage and exchange up-to-date volumetric, royalty and commercial information with government and members of industry, accurately and efficiently.

Petrinex, formerly the Petroleum Registry of Alberta (PRA), is a joint strategic organization represented by the Alberta Department of Energy (DOE), the Alberta Energy Resources Conservation Board (ERCB), the Saskatchewan Ministry of the Economy (ECON), and industry (represented by the Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers (CAPP) and the Explorer and Producers Association of Canada (EPAC)). It operates under the overall guidance of a unique and proven Crown-Industry governance structure.
