Community Information Sessions

In Spring 2004, information sessions gave over 700 Albertans interested in natural gas in coal development an opportunity to learn more about the resource, local development, regulations and the consultation process. Those in attendance were also invited to share suggestions and provide input on natural gas in coal issues.

Sessions were held in Rocky Mountain House, Wetaskiwin, Stettler, Barrhead, Strathmore, Drayton Valley, Grande Prairie and Pincher Creek - communities where natural gas in coal activity is ongoing or expected.
