To win, work and recover Crown-owned surface materials, including sand, gravel, clay, peat, marl and topsoil. Surface materials are administered by Lands Division, Sustainable Resource Development.

    • Apply for surface material exploration agreement, lease or license.
    • Report on surface material activities.
    • Make payment on lease and production royalties.
